Valley Farm Animal hospital is a fully equipped Veterinary
Hospital, and is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
with Veterinarians, nurses and support staff.
We are geared to deal with all kinds of emergencies at
any hour of the day or night. Even out of our standard
consulting hours staff are on site and
will quickly assist you with your emergency.
After a thorough examination by the doctor on duty, a
treatment plan will be advised. With access to state-of-the-art
facilities such as in-house laboratory, ultrasound, endoscopes
and a digital x-ray facility a diagnosis can be made promptly
in most cases.
Our High Care Unit allows us to look after pets that remain
in a critical condition, even after emergency treatment
has been given.
The on duty doctor and nurse are responsible for critical
care and constant monitoring of all inpatients. A surgeon
is on call to deal with advanced cases should the need
arise.
Typical examples of emergencies include: trauma cases,
motor vehicle accidents, dog bite wounds, lacerations;
toxicities such as snakebites, gastric dilation surgeries,
caesarian sections, organ failure; liver, kidney or cardiac;
status epilepticus and seizures.
