Puppy Classes - next class starts on 29 February 2012.
At Valley Farm we feel that a good start is vital so that you and your dog can have a long and happy life together.
You and your puppy will find Valley Farm’s puppy socialisation classes fun-filled and informative. They allow your puppy to interact with other people and puppies and are also educational and informative for you.
Our staff will explain how dogs learn and the positive reinforcement techniques that we use to train them. We teach you how to teach your puppy the essentials like sit, stay and come when called, as well as walking on the lead. We are here to offer advice on housetraining and will do our best to answer questions on behavioural problems.
The training is practised at home and each puppy’s progress assessed the following week, with our staff on hand to guide and assist you if you are having problems. We link training with games, so that the puppies learn that good behaviour can also be fun!
In addition to training, the classes include information on all aspects of good puppy care: nutrition, parasites, dental care, vaccinations, neutering, etc.
The classes are held at the practice and so offer the chance for the puppies to become familiar with the sights, sounds and smell of the practice, in a positive atmosphere.
After each lesson there is a goody pack of gifts and information to take home.
Puppy classes are for pups between the ages of 7 weeks and 12 weeks. When signing up for the puppy socialisation classes you can expect exceptional value for money from beginning to end. The classes take place on either a Tuesday or Thursday at 19h30, here at Valley Farm Animal Hospital. The cost of the course is R600, which includes the training, talks, gifts and discount vouchers.
